Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 May 2023

Preface

We know you want to know what happens once you push your commands to our platform. It is relatively simple: Once securely uploaded, we use the certificate you’ve provided to encrypt your pushed commands in memory and save the encrypted value encoded in our data store. Once encrypted by your key, the corresponding pair is the only means to decrypt it, so please keep it safe.

We store metadata around your command to make it easy for you to filter through your commands, but we CANNOT decrypt your commands. Nor do we share your data with anyone unexpected. We keep usage statistics, and if you contact us, e.g. by email, we use the personal data you provide for our reply. If you buy from us, we also keep data for purposes like bookkeeping and financial reports.

If you want to learn more, find our privacy policy below.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal data, we will either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal data has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. We do not engage in automated decision-making. If we process your personal data for a purpose other than the one for which we collected your data, we will inform you of this fact and of that other purpose.

7. Where your data is sent

Your data will be stored and processed in the UK, Europe and any other country in which Unistry, its affiliates or service providers maintain facilities.

This means that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you are located. These countries may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country (and, in some cases, may not be as protective).

However, we’ve taken appropriate safeguards to require that your data will remain protected in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable data protection laws. These measures include transferring your data to a country that the European Commission or UK authorities (as applicable) have determined provides an adequate level of protection for personal data, or by implementing standard contractual clauses with our affiliates and service providers.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect our current practice and ensure compliance with applicable laws. When we post changes to this policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
