The unistry
CLI empowers users to securely unify their command line experience across devices, shell and operating systems.
Our first point of focus is the command line history. We’re building out an experience that will expand on the typical offering of most modern terminals and shells to give you a truly centralised source of truth that you can leverage to build context, access from anywhere and shape through our other forums, such as our web app.
See our unistry downloads page for instructions on installing the unistry CLI on your system.
We are a small team, and we’re continually exploring methods to make it easier for you to get the CLI installed on your systems. We appreciate your understanding!
The unistry CLI connects to the unistry platform and authenticates using an authtoken that you can create in the security page of our web app when you sign up for unistry.
To set up the unistry CLI, you can use the generated authtoken and add it to your config file to get access to all the features of your account. Simply use the command unistry init
:
unistry init <YOUR AUTHTOKEN>
or unistry init
This command will create a configuration file at the default location for your system. If a config file already exists, it will fail and an error will be displayed to you. For more information on the config file, check out our configuration file page.
Now you’re ready to explore the other commands of the unistry CLI.
